Well this is us - this is Jethost! The fact that you are looking at our knowledgebase right now (especially our Beginners Guide) makes us like you - you must want to learn about stuff. Well - we're prepared to help you as much as possible to feel right at home, particularly if you're new to "all this web stuff" and are not sure how it will work. You are probably here because you want a website, or a nice fancy email address. You want it to work, but don't know where to start. No problem! First of all, let us just mention a couple of things about what our job is - and the service we provide. We are your web host - in every sense. We provide the computers upon which your website will sit, day after day after day, as lots of people visit it. Our primary job is to make sure that the computers that have your website on them keep running, and operate in a secure way that keeps your data (and your clients) safe when browsing your website. (By the way - you'll often hear people refer to those computers that have your website on them as 'servers'. We are literally "at your servers"!). That's our function, in a nutshell. To keep things running for you. You pay us to do that - and we take our job seriously.
