Your Very Own CPanel Page Editor
|
OK - so this isn't TOO much of a website editor. It will ONLY allow you to edit HTML pages, and for those of you who do not know much about HTML, this is something you may not want to tinker with TOO much. However, if you only have simple text changes you want to make to your website, then there is a tool within your own CPanel that may do the trick! Log into your CPanel, and locate the 'Files' area, and click on the 'File Manager' icon. Click 'Go' to go to the normal webroot directory if the pop-up box comes up. You will see a tree-like directory structure of your hosting account with us, containing any files you have uploaded to the servers (or that we may have uploaded for you!). To get started with the editor, just locate the file you want to edit, and place a check-box in the box next to the file name. Once checked, click the 'HTML Editor' button, which is on the row of buttons at the top of the page. The page editor will then load, with some icons at the top that will allow you to modify text. Click the disk icon to save any changes to the page. Be warned - this is not as easy as, for example, making changes within a Word Document. If you are not certain what you are doing, you may want to run some questions by us - we'd far rather your were TOO cautious than inadvertently mucked up your web page!
